Merry Christmas everyone that reads this silly thing. Our little girl's first Christmas and she is as excited as her Daddy and I. Had me up at 4 this morning and wouldn't go back to sleep. Now she's been snoozing on me for the last half hour. Gifts won't be opened until Daddy gets up and helps me pick up the living room some. Have some of his family coming over for dinner. I'll admit that I'm a bit disappointed that we didn't get the snow that the panhandle did, but we got video of her with her first snowfall back on the 4th.
Thinking back this past year, I was still suffering (joyfully) from morning sickness but enjoyed spending it quietly at home. This still feels like it's always have been and yet feels exactly like it is. Brand new. Our first Christmas with our beautiful daughter. Though I think this is the only year that I'll ever get away with wrapping her gifts right in front of her. She at least enjoyed the show. I tried to make it as entertaining as I could with what little I had.
No tree this year, but I've got some tree colored garland around. That's alright. Next year is going to be the one where it matters the most. But at least we have one of our larger nativities out.
Merry Christmas my friends. God bless you all as you celebrate the birth of our Salvation.
