Know how I know it's Free Comic Book Day?
It wasn't the email reminders from the FCBD website that I've been getting for the last several weeks.
It wasn't all the news stories that have been popping up in the paper/on tv/online in the past few days.
It wasn't the fact that my LCS was actually kinda busy today.
It wasn't even the fact that they gave me free comics when I went inside.
Or also at the public library (actual FCBD-comics, not library book-comics; go King County, btw).
It was when I went to the mall across the street afterwards, and while walking through the food court, saw a guy (who had to be at earliest a high school senior or at latest just under 30) wearing what appeared to be a homemade (read: blanket with extra stuff sewn on) cross between Superman's cape and adult!Simon from Gurren Lagann's coat.
Happy Free Comic Book Day, everyone (a.k.a. "International 'Oh god, you're actually making us go outside?!' Day").
