Where to start with me? Start with RTD if you're gonna start with anyone, he's the one who came up with all the slash and bondage porn. I hadn't even known I wanted that in this series until he brought it up. (I know, I'm just as surprised as you are.)

You know, I didn't cry the first time I watched it, but from the second time on I did. I dunno. I'll reserve my thoughts on Matt Smith's two-minutes-including-the-trailer as the Doctor for another post. Just marathoned the entire 5th season of Lost in less than a week, so I don't quite have enough brain left to do it just yet. And there was too a Dalek! Sure, it was only in a flashback of Adelaide's, but it was there. Besides, I think I saw that Moffatt's using them in one of his first episodes as head writer, so it wouldn't really be fair to him if they'd shown up here. You know that despite how often they show up, and the fact they're supposed to be almost as much of an archenemy as the Master is, the Daleks have never actually managed to off the Doctor even once (with the possible exception of Eight, because everyone still knows fuck-all about what really went down in the Time War)? There's even a macro about it. Plus, as someone points out in the comments, they've not only failed to kill him, but ended up creating another Doctor the last time they tried, so they really suck at it.

The girl is Chiyo-chan from Azumanga Daioh, a.k.a. that show that half of the AMV Hell series is made of. And speaking of people whose identities may cause you confusion, who the hell do you think the woman in white was?

I thought that she was another version of Rose maybe. I figured she couldn't be Donna cause there the whole crossing of the timelines thing. That and wouldn't she die if she remembered? I thought the little girl looked familiar. I'm still sad that its the end of an era for DW. Hopefully the new season of TW will be good. Need to find the trailer for new DW though.

I'd thought it could be Rose too when she told Wilf that she'd been lost on the Vinvocci ship (especially considering that she seems to be RTD's Mary Sue a lot of the time), but then she popped up in the Gallifreyan senate, and Rose turning out to be a fobwatched-Time Lady or whatever would be a bit much. As for the trailer and new season of TW, go here. You'll find the trailer if you go back a page or so, but, sadly, you'll find some potentially-horrifying TW news a little over halfway down on the front page right now.

Should make that when they were on the Vinvocci ship. *facepalm at only noticing clarity-fail after hitting the 'post' button*

are you referring to the American version of Torchwood that's in development? im speechless. the least they could do is make it a US branch of torchwood and then you could have the possibility of a cross over between Torchwood UK and Torchwood US. as long as it isnt on fox itll be fine. put it on showtime right after dexter or something. I saw the thing about a possible DW game for various platforms. that would be interesting to see. something like phoenix wright maybe?

just looked at the new DW trailer. looks like the weeping angel things are back. daleks are back, but not a big surprise there. apparently he has another redheaded companion. definitely looks like hell have his hands full this season. only a few months until it starts too probably.

Did you read the article? It IS for Fox. Look at this one too. Methinks we all need to sit BBC Worldwide down and have an intervention or something. 'We love you, but you have a problem...' Showtime would be good, wouldn't have to worry about making it fit FCC bullshit for things airing before 10 on network tv. I think The Tudors is ending after this season, so it could have that timeslot next year. Since we know what the inevitable worst-case-scenario is with Fox already, I'm just worried about how this would effect s4 of the original show. If RTD's running things over here, and if John Barrowman stars in it like the TR article suggests, what the fuck's gonna happen in Cardiff? I mean, when if TW: USA becomes the next Firefly (or worse, something that actually deserves to be cancelled), it could take the original down with it.

And I'm pretty sure we already established that a PW-crossover (or at least PW-style) Doctor Who game would be the most awesome thing ever.

yes well even things that do air after 10 are usually censored. so it still probably wouldn't be made of win. it wont take the original down with it. it shouldnt anyway.

If RTD and members of the original cast are working on it here, then who's gonna be working on s4 over in Cardiff? I realize that only two characters on the team are still alive, but one is AWOL for now, and I doubt many people will want to watch 'The Gwen & Rhys Show', adorable as they are when they work on TW stuff together.

And things after 10 are still censored, but they can get away with a lot more than things that air at 8 or 9. Fox stations go to local news at 10, so it'd be even more limited than it could be if it was on NBC or something where it'd at least get the option of being able to air later.

It could always show up on FX. Then it could do somewhat decently. In other news, I've heard John Barrowman is supposed to making a guest appearance on Desperate Housewives. So there will be something for you to see him in.

FX could work... They can get away with a metric fuckton more stuff than anything on network tv ever could. Plus they actually show good stuff without cancelling it after a month, and they'll need something to fill Nip/Tuck's timeslot since this is the final season (not to mention its swearing, kinky sex, and gore/violence quotas).

Did they finally sort out him getting a part on that? Know he's been talking about wanting to be on it or being asked to be on it for months, but I'd never heard anything concrete happened. Julie Benz is guest starring right now. Went from Dexter** to playing a (ex-?)stripper that Teri Hatcher's character is helping for some reason that I wasn't paying attention to missed, so... yay Julie? Maybe? The guy who played Paul is now on Lost, btw.

**leave out spoilers for that here in case there's someone besides the two of us looking at this who doesn't know yet. Prefer to only spoil one tv show (and its two spin-offs in this case) per post. Annoys the hell out of me when I go to something labeled as one thing, then get a completely unrelated thing spoiled without warning too, so I try not to do it to other people.
