The fact of the matter is that tomorrow is Thanksgiving. And I am typing all flat-fingered so I don't ruin my nails (which I inevitable will anyway... I always do).
(time out-- aaaaaahhh.....)
ok.
Because tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I feel somewhat obliged to tap out the yearly Thanksgiving Message.
(interrupting myself again)
So I thought I would go back and maybe copy a bit from some of my old Obligatory Thanksgiving Messages. So I whipped up the old LiveJournal. You know how far I had to go back to even find an ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that it was Thanksgiving?
"i would PROBABLY count this as the worst Thanksgiving ever." Nov. 22, 2001.
HA! So much for a grateful spirit! That's when Mom and Dad were in India. Nathan and I were home by ourselves and Nate and Rachel spent Thanksgiving with us. We ate at the Taylors' and apparently met up with some of Mom's family, but I don't remember that. And apparently it was PROBABLY the worst Thanksgiving ever.
So... apparently I have NEVER tapped out that yearly Thanksgiving Message. Until now.
I am thankful for:
My family (My two boys and me)
My family (the big one, the one that has made me who i am, the ones that are beautiful)
YABS
Rachel
The Few
my job and Kati
forgiveness
my embrace of body art (eat your heart out)
help
hope (country, life, future, forever)
pink nails
music/dancing (it doesn't count as two of you combine them)
I pray, my heart whispers, cries, laughs and shudders in the hand of a God who has always known me and who I am so far from figuring out. People say that writing out what you believe helps you to know what you believe. I believe everything I am thankful for is a profound gift from an abundantly merciful, wildly loving, desperately passionate Lover who will not ever let me go.
