I have seen far too many movies this spring break. Just look at this, the silliness!
Disappointing films:
Hellboy- anti-climactic, but it had its moments
Duplex- overly predictable
25th Hour-....umm ok
Ella Enchanted- excessively goofy, perhaps too akin to Shrek, but lacking the liberties of animated features
Acceptable films:
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days- interesting and humorous
The Pianist- pretty cool, but i sort of came in during the early middle so eh
Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind- pretty good, but I don't feel compelled to create a separate category for one movie. It would probably have been better were I and my friend not so tired whilts watching it.
The one I cannot place:
Ladykillers- An interesting idea, for sure, but perhaps not nurtured properly. I enjoyed the allusions and the plot well enough, but the characters were rough and the language worthless.
Well now you see how I spent a good deal of my time, at least the time I spent away from this here idiot box. Most of the latter time was spent playing Baldur's Gate, a lovely game I had almost forgot, but was reintroduced to, just last week. What timing, no?
I cannot wait to see you all again on Monday. I shall be glad to return to my element at school; it is much nicer to spend 6 hours away, working in good company, than to spend 18 home, doing practically nothing, alone. Those of you who stole me away this week, be not offended, your company has been most gratefully appreciated, especially that of the fair ladies I am so fortunate to be surrounded by ^_^ Further more, the most cherished company of all, that of the sweetest to me, the dearest and most delightful.
