I tried my hand at some HDR for these (the rest are 'friends only') images. HDR is certainly an editing technique that requires a light touch and discerning eye. It is all about finding the right balance of shadow, highlight and detail. I wouldn't profess to have done the absolute best on these, but I am pretty pleased with it regardless. The main hurdle for me is the halo effect that can sometimes result of HDR toning on an image. It detracts from the overall impact of the picture and so I wanted to avoid having too much of that. (Again it is a personal opinion because I've seen several people who like the halo effect)
