To have faith?
I sit here, listening to Lillium, the title song to the anime Elfen Lied.
In order to believe in something, do we have to have faith? In order to have faith do we have to believe?
There is a dark secret about myself very few people, if any at all, know. I do not believe. God, the church, I think all of that is a sham. Yet I still manage to have faith. I do not think that this is a universe devoid of benevolent omnipotent beings. And in that, I do not believe that Jesus Christ was the son of god. He was a wise man who was exploited by the followers who gathered about him, like flies at a corpse. While the bible (New Testament and Old Testament) are scientifically false, they are universally true. Does that make sense? To me...it contains certain elements of universal moral turth that everyone else must taste before they die.
