Why I'm voting for Barack Obama

Even the most cynical, anti-government of us are starting to be won over.
Got this comment from my mentor, who I have rarely, if ever, known to endorse a politican:

"Obama is certainly not the answer to world problems but if there is no October 'surprise' and he is elected, this will open a great 'territory' for humanitarian organizing and union building which is so direly needed to change the public policy of empire..."

I for one am proud that all of a sudden, a surprising number of people my age are suddenly caring about politics again. Can it be that the era of apathy is over? Maybe. Truth is that this man is doing things differently, and I believe this election is the beginning of something new and positive.
