i'm working... honest!

yeah, so, i'm at work...

i should waste(?) time by redoing my resumé...
from back a year and half or so ago, i'm still getting emails about local jobs in my field... well... one of local competitors is hiring... AND they not only have benefits (which i don't, grrr... and my tooth has been killing me for a while too so that fact is kind of extra pissing me off :p), the starting pay is between 12,500 and 13,500 more a year than what i make now. oh yeah, and the job description... well it sure as hell isn't: asp, coldfusion, java, php, javascript, html, css, xml, xsl, .net, sql server, mysql, msql, access etc. etc. etc. + be the graphic designer and learn any language that some client might decide they want something written in or already have some crappy application programmed in :p
so... i'm trying to think of the benefits of where i work right now.
doggy at work rules! :) she's laying on my foot right now :)
Ray thinks the same way... or... his code makes sense to me... i can follow his logic fine... and after looking at lots of other people's code, hahaha... that's pretty damn special *twitch*
well, i can come and go -sort of- as i please. so long as i work at least 80 hours every 2 weeks, no one cares (or actually, so long as the work is done - could be less than 80 hours if everything's done). hell, today, i got here at 1:00 :p
so... my job gets along with late night RvR on DAoC (that's not nerdy or anything, is it? :p)
i normally work a 4 day week, 10 hours or so a day... fridays off.
hmm... let's see... i can wear what i want 99% of the time (couldn't really today... have to go meet with a stupid client, argh, that's always a super-negative... i HATE it).
we always have the stereo on (this is a negative when the guys listen to baseball, but otherwise, it's usually good :p)
i can have AIM on, email friends/family, write in here and do lots of other non-work stuff & not have to worry about getting in trouble or anything (though I will hide it if my boss comes in :p).
i kind of like the graphic design thing... but i really don't want it as my job (artsy stuff as a job makes it no longer something fun to do in your spare time, yuck... plus it's not so definitive like programming - there is no right or wrong way & it has that unknown creativity variable of coming up with a concept based on who the design is for). so long as i am the programmer here, but being used to be the graphic designer too, i can play with photoshop but not have the artistic responsibility that i HAVE to come up with designs within some time frame so much (though i haven't had a problem yet... i'm waiting to have no idea what to do for some company). i can always say "hey look, i'm a programmer... not a flighty, should-be-blond, artsy graphic designer *cough*pay me to do two jobs kplsthxwtf*cough*" (i know, not all graphic designers are flighty and needing some peroxide for their hair, and i apologize to that minority of them that aren't "p)

wow, blabbery.

ugh, i took 3 ibuprofen and it's not helping my stupid tooth.
that's what you get for -ever- going to mc donald's, seriously... not only will their food make you greasy/fat, but it will break your tooth and it will hurt 8 months or so later when you ignore it :p
yesterday i took 2 like every 3 hours or so and that worked alright.
i really don't want to be bothered with going to the stupid dentist... not to mention paying for it :p
but i dunno today... i might have to go or have my head explode.

hahaha...
this is just weird... the company that is hiring for a lot more than i make here just lied to our isp saying we were hitting them with DOS attacks, rofl. ok, well, that makes up my mind. cheating's not my line of work.

anyway, have to go to a meeting so i better stop spamming this thing now.
