You were the world's greatest drummer. Debatably the funniest drunk anybody has ever seen. And although many of us did not know you personally, you were someone to look to in times of need. You inspired not only a new generation of drummers, but a generation of writers, lyricists, artists. I suppose it would almost be fair to say that you inspired all. And for that, we thank you.
