Unto You, My Friends, This Turkey Day

Nov 26, 2009 09:03

There are many things I could say about Thanksgiving. I think if you go back through the calander of the many moons that I've been keeping this journal, you'll find a lot of them. Today... I'm just going to keep it simple.

If you're not here, I miss you. I probably have for a while.

If I'm not breaking bread with you today, I'm sad, but I'm holding you with fondness in my heart, looking forward to that time when we're sitting in the same space again.

May your turkey be moist, your stuffing be crispy and gooey in all the right places, your gravy be only as lumpy as you like, and your pumpkin pie possessing of the awesome layer of genuine custard that forms up at the bottom.

Most importantly, may your family (whatever for it takes) be happy and laughing, and the day without the heaviness of unpleasantness.

Gods bless, everyone... where ever you are.

Raen.

holidays, friends
