Bittersweet

Sad and sweet all at once. I'm half crying and smiling both at the same time.

I love stories like this as well as the groups that facilitate them... namely because I had a cousin who had Cystic Fibrosis (sp). Her family spent so much money on medical bills that they _never_ got to do anything that most of us would consider fun. Until the Make-A-Wish foundation stepped in and helped them have an actual, honest to gods, family vacation. They got to go to Disney Land, and see Davey Jones from the Monkeys perform (my cousin's pre-teen crush, even if he was an older guy at the time).

I think she died at fourteen, if memory serves me correctly. She barely looked twelve.

So yeah... I love stories like the one in the link above. And I'll support groups that help further them every chance I get.
