Just 2 more weeks...
...until my internship ends. Me so sad. My supervisor offered me to work an extra day and I'm thinking on taking the offer, but it pretty much depends on BART...stupid BART.
For the past couple of days I've been smacking myself over the head over doubting I chose the right internship. So of course, today my supervisor "lends" me to the sales and marketing to help them pack for the San Diego Comic-Con. I got to talk to one of them and asked how they got the job, what they do, etc. She said that the majority of their job is PR and to go to the various conventions. Get paid to go to conventions like Book Expo, Anime Expo, and SDCC? So. Awesome. Also the intern from the DVD productions was helping too so I actually saw another one of my kind! What really cheered me up was finding out what these 2 were doing prior to working/interning at Viz: the PR lady has a degree in Biology and the intern has a degree in English, but she's kind of in the process of starting over. YES, I thought I was the only one who took a weird leap when it came to job choices. "As long as you're having fun, right?" Kind of idealistic especially in this economy, but if you're not even semi-interested in what you're doing it's going to suck in the long run. The day ended nicely when one of the editors let me have some of his lunchables (I haven't had those in so long!), let me have a manga, and discussed manga stuff with a temp.
Then I come home and see that Viz posted a job position for a Consumer Product Associate. Why couldn't they post that position in December, when I will (hopefully) graduate!
