“Jun, why does Rayz act like he is you?” Aiba complained as they watched their son’s baby sit beside Jun’s and Ryka’s baby girl. They gathered in Jun’s place after they all attended a party for Shun’s daughter. As the fathers rested, they watched their sons doing something on their own. Rayz, 5 ~ the eldest son of Jun and Ryka and the oldest among the 5 boys, busied himself giving instructions to his comrades. Shin, 4 ~ Ohno’s and Reeya’s son, Shoichi, 4 ~ Sho’s and Mikari’s boy and Masaru, 3 ~ Aiba’s and Kaori’s first born, were listening and following the instructions without questions except for Kazuma, 3 ~ Nino’s and Mai’s son.

“Rayz-kun, we just washed our hands.” He complained in a bratty mode. “Why do we need that for?”

“Because I told you so!” Rayz said with authority, his little brows forming into a frown.

“It stinks you know! Yuck!” the younger child continued, gagging just to express his dislike.

“Fine Kazuma! If you don’t want to use that sanitizer then don’t allow your filthy hands touch my little sister!” He snapped hotly.

“Eh! I just washed my hands. Didn’t you hear me?” he insisted.

“Oh I heard you clearly. But she’s my baby sister and I’m his big brother so it’s my responsibility to protect her especially from your DS/card-smelling hands. Got that brat!” he ranted just like his dad giving the younger child a deathly glare.

“Guys, please. Can you not do that in front of her!” Shoichi muttered exasperatedly, not taking his eyes off her even when Kazuma hid behind him. He was surely afraid of Rayz’s outburst.

“Hai! You’re going to disturb her sleep and it will not be a pretty sight.” Shin added softly, glancing at Masaru on the floor trying to catch something, oblivious to the fact that their fathers observing them.

“Baka Aiba-chan! Because he’s my son, he sometimes acts like me.” Jun answered him flatly. “It’s normal.”

“Even as Arashi’s second generation ~ your kids are not getting along well, ne.” Sho noticed with a smile. “Just like their fathers at times.” Ohno butted in, admiring his new lure at hand. “Bickering is not even new to us now.”

“OI!” Jun and Nino protested quickly.

“Well… we got along just fine as long as Jun-pon here is not on his… almighty kingly attitude.” Nino complained.

“And you Ninomiya ~ not on your bratty slashing tongue mode!” he grumbled back. Both guys now involved themselves in glaring contest.

“Guys, where did you think those kids get their attitude from?” Ryka asked looking at them as she handed them their beers.

“Their moms!” Jun and Nino uttered simultaneously, smirking at each other while the other guys laughed.

“Uresai!” Reeya hissed at them that silenced all of them at once.

“Itte!” Nino growled holding his head as he looked at his wife. “Mai! That hurts.”

“You deserved it.” Mikari chuckled, placing some nuts on the table.

“Say that again MatsuJun and you will sleep outside tonight!” Ryka said with a terse glaring at her smirking husband as she followed Mai to the kitchen.

“Seriously guys, think again before you blame us, ne.” Kaori added shaking her head, as she went to check her son who was now crawling on the floor.

“Do you guys agree with me that our wives are more dangerous than us.” Aiba muttered throwing a glance at his band mates then at their kids before he opens his beer.

“Always thought that too.” Ohno agreed, nodding his head with the other members.

“Masaru, sweetie. Please put that thing down.” Kaori shrieked as she approached her son who was obviously playing with something in his hands.

“Mom, it’s just a lizard and it’s not dangerous.” The little boy said beaming.

“Aiba!” she yelled anxiously. I’ll give that guy a piece of my mind later. She fumed to herself.

“Hai!” her son answered perplexed.

“I’m not calling you sweetie but your dad.” She replied glancing at the thing on his hands again.

“But Mama. I’m Aiba too so does you.” He said softly putting the lizard down.

“Hai! You called Honey.” Aiba muttered sweetly to his wife.

“Your son is holding some insects with his bare hands again, Masaki.” She informed him her voice rising anxiously.

“Mama, it’s not an insect but a lizard.” He reasoned out, pouting. “Urghh!”

“Masaru, that’s not the way to talk to your mom!” he scolded him gently.

“Gomenasai.” He said humbly looking at them with his puppy eyes just like his dad that never failed to soften his mom. The couple bent down and hugged him.

“Mama is just worried, ne so please be careful next time.” Aiba explained lovingly. “And don’t touch anything with your bare hands. Got that.”

“Hai! Wakatta!” smiling at them then joining his friends after he gave his mom a kiss.

“Am I forgiven then?” Aiba muttered beside her as they looked at their son’s back.

“How can I not when both of you used that weapon against me.” she chuckled as she hugged him.

“That’s Aiba’s charm Honey. Get used to it.” he teasingly said kissing her head lovingly.

“Dada, where’s mom?” Shin asked Ohno.

“Bathroom.” He replied winking at him.

“Again?!” his son exclaimed. “That’s the fifth or sixth times already since we got here.”

“So?” he inquired. “Your mom just drank too much, maybe.”

“But Dada…” Shin began but a scream from Reeya made the father and son run to her immediately.

“Reeya!” “Mom!” both exclaimed nervously.

“Oh! Hi guys.” She said calmly surprised to see them at the door.

“What happen?” Ohno inquired looking something at her hands.

“Ah! Guys, we’re having another one.” She announced showing them the pregnancy test result.

“Yatta!” Shin yelled excitedly as Ohno embraced his wife still speechless.

“Shoichi, you don’t mind watching Jaidee for a while.” Rayz requested. “And please don’t let anybody touch her without putting sanitizer first.”

“Hai! I got it covered. Don’t worry, Rayz-kun.” Shoichi nodded confidently.

Rayz went directly to his dad and pulled him aside quickly.

“What is it?” Jun asked surprise by his son’s gesture.

“Papa, Shoichi’s been staring at Jaidee for quite some time now.” he pointed out. “And he has that silly smile on his face too.”

“Son, you worry too much. Your sister is beautiful maybe Shoichi is just admiring her and thinks she’s…” Jun began but break off when he realized something as he look at his son, confusion and worry written on his young face. He noticed something with Shoichi’s behavior every time they visited them but he never paid attention to it until now.

“Think of what, Papa?” Rayz sweet voice interrupted his train of thoughts.

“Oh no! Please don’t let it be.” He muttered to himself. “Better check your sister now, Rayz. Please.” He ordered him gently to look for his wife just in time to witness Shoichi kneeling in front of his parents and Ryka.

“Papa, Mama, Oba-chan. I want to marry Jaidee.” He said innocently but with determined eyes that rendered everybody speechless. Sho looked at his son with open mouth, not being able to believe if he heard it correctly as his hold on his wife’s hand tightened.

Jun, on the other hand almost fell on his face when he heard that proposal from a 4 year old to his 9-month old baby girl. She may only start to learn how to talk and walk now but she already have someone asking for her hand in marriage. Jun’s mind went berserk thinking about his daughter’s future. He knew that he’s not prepared for this and guess what he never will be. Now, Jun wished for his daughter to stay just like this and stop growing but he knew that’s impossible.

“Anou… hahaha…” Ryka’s nervous laugh caught his attention. “Shoichi.”

“Sweetie, I guess you’re too young for that.” Mikari said nicely recovering from her initial shock.

“Hai! Shoichi, Jaidee is only 9 months old, ne and you’re just 4. Besides she’s your cousin.” Jun mumbled but clueless of what he just said as he takes the empty seat beside his wife who has the same expression as his.

“Not by blood.” Shoichi implied. Sho’s family adopted Ryka when she became really close to his family and helped his mom before. After knowing that she’s an orphan, they had an understanding that she will be the new member of the Sakurai family and only close relatives and friends knew that. How the hell that his 4-year old son knows the truth? Sho muttered to himself. Think Sho! Think!

“You know Shoichi that it’s not for Papa and Mama or for Ji-chan and Ba-chan to decide on that but for my little sister, right?” Rayz supplied seriously saving the adults from their thoughts. “I heard Papa said that he will not let any arrange marriage to happen in our family so we can have our freedom who to choose to be with later on. So, you have to wait for Jaidee to grow up and decide on that, ne. Then maybe respect that decision whatever it will be.” He looked straight into the younger guy’s eyes.

“I understand Rayz-kun.” Shoichi acknowledged, bowing to him to which the older boy nodded as he glanced at his parents sigh with relief.

“Shoichi, oide.” Sho said gently and hugged his son. Why I haven’t have that courage like you back then. I guess you got that from your mom, he wanted to tell him that but kept his thoughts to himself.

“Well, I guess Shoichi unexpected proposal ruined my surprise then.” Ohno mumbled jokingly.

“Demo Dada we can still tell them, ne.” Shin encouraged his dad.

“Then why don’t you tell them, Shin.” Reeya winked at her son.

“Minna, we’re having a baby too!” Shin yelled excitedly that made everyone happy for the couple.

“Oi! Don’t pressure us to have another one.” Aiba jokingly declared.

“Nobody is pressuring you, Baka!” Nino whined annoyed.

“Kazunari, there are kids in here! Stop acting like a spoiled brat! It’s not cute anymore!” Mai grumbled, pinching his sides.

“Oh guys, I’m so happy for you.” Ryka said with teary eyes as she hugged her best friend.

“Ryka! I’m the one pregnant, not you. So quit it!” Reeya scolded her with a chuckle seeing her cry.

Ryka was wiping her tears when Jun suddenly pulled her into the terrace and left everybody to celebrate with Ohno’s family.

“You okay?” she asked worriedly the moment she heard Jun sigh.

“For a moment back there, Babe I was scared.” She admitted as he pulled her to him. “I don’t know what to say or do. My mind went blank except for the thought that my princess just got a proposal even this young!"

“Shocking, ne. Me too - I don’t know how to react to the situation or to what Shoichi’s said.” She mumbled kissing his cheek.

“But I’m so glad that Rayz handled it the way I wanted it to be.” He admitted admiring his son’s wits. “We did pretty well in raising him, ne.”

“Un.” She leaned away from him to cup his face. “We don’t have to worry that much, especially you. Our daughter has a big brother who loves her so much as we do and will protect her no matter what.” She added before she kissed him. "So for now you're little princess is still safe."

“Demo, Papa, Mama I guess I can only take care of one for now.” Rayz butted in interrupting his parent’s sweetness.

“Oh Rayz!” Jun exclaimed cheerfully as he pulled away from his wife. “We’re so proud of you!” pulling his son up to raise him above his shoulder with Ryka smiling widely beside them.

“I know Papa.” He said smugly grinning as his parents embraced him tight.

“Kazuma, there will be a lot of girls when you grow up.” Mai explained softly to his weeping son and looked at Nino helplessly.

“Thousands of girls, maybe millions of cute girls to choose from, son.” Nino added rumpling his son’s hair.

“NO! I only want Jaidee, Papa! But I’m not going to lose to Shoichi when we grow up eventhough he's my cousin. I want to marry her too.” He said seriously, oblivious to the impact of his small words brought to his parents. Nino looked at his son with worry as he wiped his tears with the back of his hands as he saw determination reflected in his eyes. He looked at Mai and sighed. He can only pray that things will change as their kids grow up and avoid possible conflicts within their families. And what happened today will be written down on Arashi’s history book under "unforgettable moments" section. He glanced at Jun who is now laughing with his son and smiled to himself. This guy really gave us a hard time even when we’re already fathers.

Happy Father's Day to Arashi's Otousan
