Ugh! I worked all day, came home to have to take my best friend to get his groceries for the month, sat on the couch with my husband for an hour before he went to bed, and then got on to have to look at crap posted by ppl who need their heads examined!

stop_plagiarism brought with it a Tin Man fandom person who thinks the comm is basically a witch

As far as moony blues comment, that did upset me. I can understand that they are a friend of magickboxgirl's and this is hard for them, but to suggest a really good comm that helps so many in various fandoms is a witch hunt was over the top. For me, I would never have made an accusation at all if I didn't have enough proof to back it up, which I did. I do not go around accusing ppl of doing evil. I do not go around looking for plagiarists. In fact this is the first time I've outed a plagiarist.
Magickboxgirl friended me! Not the other way around! She knew I was a Spuffy shipper. She knew I have read most fics in my fandom, because I've been in this fandom for many years and have been judging, modding, and co-owning award sites for many years. Why she friended someone she knew would stand up and shout about plagiarism and also someone who is in the Spuffy part of my fandom, I have no idea.
I have also recieved another email from an SP mod and they have now found a 4th fic that is definitely plagiarized and as before it's almost word for word.

Even if that were not the case, it's hardly necessary to dump on someone for making a hasty comment in public. Especially since she took the high road and recused herself from the discussion when she realized she might not be able to participate objectively. As it stands, she did what needed to be done, even though it was hard for her, even though she was dealing with a betrayal by a friend.

As it is, we owe it to you and SP that the whole business was handled so quickly and efficiently, with such a minimum of wank, and we appreciate that greatly.
