I may not club, dance, vacation, or frequently party, but my life has somehow filled up with the pleasant society of others. I was just starting to worry that I was once again failing on the social front (I have to shake this tendency towards self-doubt, this is getting ridiculous. You have no idea how much whining my girlfriend endured this semester from me about my imagined social failings.) when another mad weekend hit (Scating, dinner, FnB, fetish night, farmer's market, woah doggie!). I'm glad I had lots of lonely hours and housebound confinement in which to study this week because i'm going to have dick all time this weekend, and then, if all goes well, I will set out immediately for Seattle around Tuesday or so, to milk my last few weeks in BC for all they are worth!
It was actually a pretty interesting week, starting off with my housemate being evicted. I rather liked him and was sorry to see him go, but he went out in the most interesting way possible, i must say. I'm neutral in the spat between him and the landlord, so keep in mind that nobody acted properly, and both parties are people i like but who were driven to be total dicks to one another.
I come out of the shower to hear angry shouting from his room. The landlord had served him with eviction notice 10 days before, and had come to forcibly remove him and his stuff. My housemate was having none of this, and was refusing to allow him to touch his stuff or enter the room.
"Thats assault!"
"ASSAULT?! YOU WANT TO BE ASSAULTED, DO YOU?!"
Yeah, woah boys, calm down. 911 was called, not by me. The police arrived in their own time, and negotiated an hour for my housemate to get out of the house. He left all his stuff with me, borrowed my backpack, and will supposedly call me when he is ready to pick it up. It's been several days though, and I need my backpack back before i can go to Seattle! He said he'd call today, so if he's still not back by tuesday, he's shit out of luck, because I am gone! Backpack or no backpack!
I had gotten used to being left alone on my futon, playing on the web, so i wasnt happy when my new roomates turned out to be extremely social Korean siblings, who needed tours of the area and general help to get established in a strange new country. Amazingly they've grown on me, and I really wish i had more than three weeks with them. They feed me delicious food, I help with resume's and directions, and they're the first people i've been able to con into attending Food not Bombs with me.
I've also been making decent progress on my stats, so aside from having no money (who needs money?) I'm doing pretty good.
Oh, and new aaaart! (At last!) I have just assured my entrance to hell by creating the Japanese Winchesters, Denji and Samuru.
