(That's not word for word, but that's the gist of it). I said, "How much do you think I weigh?" He goes, "120?" I laughed and replied, "I weight 135 lbs, and would you call me fat?" He got this shocked look on his face, and sputtered a "No, of course not". I like surprising James at times.

40. Now tag FOUR people who you want to fill this out:
Heh, whoever wants to.
So I had a good weekend. Shorty, her bf, Dave, and Dave's best friend, Andrew, came up to visit me for the weekend.
Friday was a good day. I went to work, lazed around the house (watced Gosford Park which I ended up really liking), burned some CDs and then went out to meet Greg.
Greg is an awesome individual. He's very out-going, very much a people person. He's ambitious, well-placed in the social strati, and good humored. He's thoughtful, but also just very guy-ish. Very much the "cool guy". I liked him immediately. He's 22, and about to leave AA to move somewhere in MI a bit closer to his job. He's got great goals, and I really think he'll move up in the world. I take it that his family isn't too bad off (and I mean most sides of his family :P). I think he'll do equally well. He's in adverising, and there really isn't a better place in this world for him. His personality is perfect for that career. He wants to be worth a million dollars by the time he's 30, and I believe he'll do it. He's half-black, half-Latino, and not at all hard on the eyes. He's well traveled, and loves spending time in Boston (where he's from), LA and New York, but he hasn't been out of the country (except Canada). However, he has plans to go to Mexico (for a WEEKEND) before the summer is over.
We had a really good talk, sipping drinks at Charley's. (He knows the people that own it... that amused me greatly. I don't think I've ever met someone so well socially connected. :P) He told me a lot about himself (as you can probably gather from the above paragraph), and asked about me. I was amused by his reaction when he gathered that I was 19. I think it hadn't hit him before this point, even though we'd been conversing by various means for a week or more daily. Still, it didn't seem to bother him much. It's just different for him, since he hasn't hung with what he calls the "younger crowd" since being at work, though he used to do it all the time before he graduated. He was like, "It doesn't matter to me. I mean, you're a young adult... and I'm still a young adult, too, so it's all good. Just means I can't introduce you to some of my friends, since they REALLY like the younger women". I laughed at that. That's another thing I really liked: He was fabulously chill, very friend-like. Makes one feel at ease around him, and he doesn't strike me at all like a dishonest person. Seems more like he's pretty forthright about what he wants and doesn't want. Refreshing, really, from having to deal with guys who can't figure out what they want even from their friends, or else don't know how to articulate it. :P
We left, and the sky had gotten cloudy so we couldn't just go walking around the campus (cloudy + cool), so he was like, "Alright, we're gonna drive then." I'm like, "That's cool". So we go around the corner of South U., and I'm looking at all the cars parked along the street, not paying a whole lot of attention... until this guy steps to a Lexus! %_% I was like, "Damn". Hop in this car, it's all grey leather. It's new. It's got a 6-CD changer in the GLOVE COMPARTMENT. I think you could have pushed me over with a feather at that point. He busted out his Reggaeton CD that he burned for me (because we had been talking about it before that point, and I had said that I wasn't really acquainted with the genre). It was a SWEET CD. I was already acquainted somewhat with Daddy Yankee, but now I got even more cool stuff.
So we drove around AA, and he showed me some of the really rich houses back in the Hill area. I didn't even KNOW those mansions were buried back there. His big deal is nice houses. It was great watching him get all excited about the nice houses, and hearing him talk about his future house someday. And then we drove by one of his friend's houses (I was so bummed the friend wasn't there, because I would have loved to go inside). People, this was a MANSION! 6000 square feet. Looked like something off the Spanish coast, or maybe simply the West Coast. There were WATERFALLS in the back yard (which was beautifully landscaped). The towers, porches and large amount of glass used on the house, not to mention the 3 car garage, blew me away.
You can tell I come from the mid-lower class. :P
Anyways, even with all this stunning wealth, it was intimidating. He didn't have this aura about him that made a person feel less worthy if they didn't have the same kind of cash as him. (Plus, I get the sense that he's having to be frugal at the moment because he's still on the rise at work, and therefore not making a ton of money... though he's killing what I make. :P) He told me one thing he has a hard time not doing is spending money. He loves to do that. *Chuckles* And yet he didn't buy anything while I was with him. We didn't get food, and all I had was a water at Charley's. He was all like, "Are you sure?" I was like, "Yeah, don't worry about it" He's like, "I feel bad" I'm like, "Why???" Oddness. But I wasn't hungry, and I had gotten a pop just before meeting up with him.
We're both only here in AA for two more weeks, and who knows if we'll have much time to get together and hang out before we both leave, him for good. He's done with AA, moving on to better things in the world. I think making an acquaintance with someone like that is a very interesting experience. That will never be my life. I don't even think I'll marry into that life. Don't get me wrong, I would love to. But somehow I get the feeling that it's not gonna happen. But he's a really cool guy, and I enjoyed and will enjoy anymore time we get to have together before we have to part ways.
Anyways, had a great time with Shorty and the boys. We did a lot of chillin'. We went to the mall (I got the hottest shirt at Forever 21... I mean, Grecian-esque and one-sleeved... I just look damn hot in it... I should take a picture), we went out to eat... we were going to go to the pool, but we ended up falling asleep instead. We met up with Josh and Greg (not my Josh or my Greg, but friends of ours from high school XD), who are both up here for the summer. They're both going to be engineers, so they're doing a pre-school year program here before they start their freshman years.
All in all, it was a good weekend. I didn't get much sleep because we stayed up late, so I'm pretty exhausted, but I had fun. Now it's 7pm, and I plan to just chill for the rest of the night before starting another week of work. Still... next weekend is gonna rock!
