Here’s a question. Why don’t we ever get paid the amount of money we are said to save a company through our labor?
Like, if I was just told that I saved $1000 worth of work, why am I not paid $1000? But then again, they wouldn’t have had me to do the cost-saving thing in the first place if they were gonna shell the same amount of money out to pay me.
So while I like hearing that I say my workplace money, I always wonder why such praise doesn’t at least amount to a fractional bonus for me in my next check or something like that.
In unrelated news, tickets to NY are about $150 for late August. I could go visit for around $200-250. Am thinking about it. Still have to decide a few things.
In news that is unrelated to that, I am going home next weekend for the Class of 2005’s graduation. Get to see Jeff H, Jeremy, Cali, the twins (Ray and Ralston), Justina and everyone else. And open houses! Good food! Cake! And it’s not my own, so no stress!
…I’m so glad school’s done for me in April.
