"Running Down....Running Down..." Remember When It Rained
It's raining outside, which means I've busted out the Norah Jones, Josh Groban and Diana Krall stuff. I was going to go for Coldplay, but that tends to be depressing sometimes instead of reflective. I guess it just depends.
I had a really great night last night with my friends. It was Kate, Alex, Jeff, Hannah, Allison, Nate, Jen, Phil, Eric, Vec and I that went to BD's Mongolian Barbecue. I like that place, though I liked it better when it has that packed atmosphere of a Saturday night as opposed to the quiet week-night atmosphere. But alas, I'm not here this weekend, so that wouldn't have worked out. Jen, Jeff and Kate all got together and got me a shirt I'd said I'd wanted one day when we walking past...Middle Earth? I think that was the store, though I can't remember for sure. Anyways, it's got this kitty in a bath tub full of suds, and it says below "Good Clean Fun". Heh, it's perfect.
Afterwards, Vec, Eric and I went and rented Akira, which I have to say was just as confusing the second time around as the first. Actually, I did a really good job of following it up until the end, but the end is just a little too out there...and Vec's actually kinda right...it is kinda boring.
I didn't get to bed until really late, so I'm really tired today. But it was nice to go out with my friends for my birthday. I can't wait to get home and see all my friends on Sunday for the B-day party they're throwing me. Looks like it's going to be at 6pm at Shorty's. Heh, just like old times.
I have to pack. That actually won't take that long, since I'm only going back for 4 days, but it's still energy expended that I don't want to expend. :P I need a nap, but I promised I'd call Vec about this afternoon and the photo gallery thingie. Oh well, maybe Vec'll wander this way and wake me up, thereby saving me the trouble of having to get myself up to call him about it all. :P And Ana wants to go out for ice cream before we leave at 4pm. And did I mention it's raining? You all know how I am when it's raining...do I ever want to do anything? Big fat no. But hey, these are my "droogs", so I can't be "like pathetic" and not get in touch with them.
Hehe, ok, enough random quotes. I think I'm gonna go lie down and read, though I'm sure I'll be reading most of the time I'm in the car on the way home. Or sleeping. Man, I'm so tired. I need a nap in the worst way. Hopefully I can catch up on my sleep this weekend.
