(no subject)
I got to thinking earlier today about the post that Jaypee made on his LJ about using game idioms in real life. I realized that it is rather easy to slip up and use these words since we as a gaming community use them on daily basis. It got my attention when I saw the silver RX-7 in my neighborhood. I said outload to myself "RX-Seven For The Win. (RX7 FTW)" Moments later I was like, wtf did I just say... I realized that in the past I've used the words aggro, pull, and other phrases commonly used in virtual worlds. Cases such like this one that I told my girlfriend "slow down, you might aggro the police" seem to be common place as there was another fellow who's told his wife the same exact phrase. Shit like this scares me @_@.
On a totally unrelated note, School officially starts tomorrow... which means more studying and less WoWing! (at least thats what I tell myself). I plan to be more social this year than the past two years.. not to say that I'm a total loser, but yea, I'm a total loser. Hopefully more time spent with old friends and club activities.. as well as an interest in Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) and Kendo / Iaido / Jiu Jitsu (cant decide). Also plan to devote more time to go to the gym to get in shape.. cuz I don't think I've ever been "in shape" my whole life lol.. not that I'm like fat or anything, but I can see some chub coming in, and I'm a single male attending college. There is no room for chub when you're single and trying to hook up with hot asian women. Anyway, these are my goals for the year, and I hope I can complete at least some of them. Wish me luck, cuz I'm gonna need it @_@ Lates.
