Do I think I am dumber then others, no. Do I think I am smarter? Then most people I come into contact with in the world, yes, then my circle, not so much. I happen to know so many brilliant people and come from a very educated family and background. I have a high IQ, got really good grades in college and had my pick of grad schools (which I stupidly put on hold and never went back to). Does that mean anything? Not really, my Ex graduated the same school that I did, he didn't get as good grades but he made it through in a different program, he earns much more then I do too, yet I found him to really be beneath me intellectually and it was one of the problems in our relationship. I know it sounds snobby but intelligence is very important to me, I am turned on more by a brain then anything else. Now I am married to a man who I feel is quite on my level and I love our conversations and what we each bring to the table, yet he has no college at all, so really school means nothing.
My Brother used to date (and had a kid with) a woman who graduated from SUNY Stony Brook (a very good school) at Phi Beta Kappa, and yet she didn't know who the president was. WTF?
I am rambling, but I think you get my point, intelligence can not be measured by any one scale, but it is important to me personally.
