Sorry if this is totally sucky. And that there's no rant to go along with it. I could probably do one but I lack the energy. :/

Chapter 11/11

In the morning she wakes up and he's not next to her and she's confused until she hears something fall in the kitchen and Hannah laugh.
She gets out of bed and pulls on a pair of sweat pants and one of Lee's sweatshirts and goes into the kitchen and watches Hannah throw blueberries into a bowl while Lee stirs.
Hannah's kneeling on a kitchen chair to reach the counter and both of their sleeves are pushed up past their elbows and Morgan loves days like there.

These lazy weekends where they have nothing to do and then move slow.
Breakfast is made and they eat and then they lay on the couch. Morgan lays down and Hannah lies on her chest and both their feet are in Lee's lap, Morgan's further across his than Hannah's and he holds their feet, tickles the bottom of Hannah's and she giggles and fights against him and he lets her go but then she nudges him and he tickles her again and her high pitched laugh fills the apartment.
Around noon they go out because they feel like they have to.
They get restless on the couch and they bundle up because it has gotten colder and they go out and walk through the park and shop, picking up what they need for the rest of the week at the grocery store and Lee tells Morgan that he and Hannah are going to wiat outside and she doesn't think anything of it because neither of them have any patience, Lee just feeds off Hannah's attitude and normally they bother Morgan by teasingly telling her to hurry up and she ends up telling them to go wait outside but this way she's saved from that so she lets them go and when she gets outside they're not out there and she just starts to look for them when she sees them.
Hannah's swinging a small shopping bag in her hand and Lee's holding the other one to hold her back from running across the street.
She meets them halfway.
"What'd you get?" She asks Hannah and she holds the bag out to Morgan and Morgan shifts the grocery bag over on her hip so she can take it and looks to Lee in confusion.
Lee nods to her and takes the groceries from her so she can open the bag.
There's a box in the bag and before she opens it she looks down at Hannah and up at Lee and they're both wearing the same excited expression and then she opens the box.
It's a ring.
It's beautiful, so much better than the one she had before, but everything now if better than before.
"Did you go get this now?" She asks him.
"Yeah." He nods. "Well, I got it a few weeks ago and had it sized and everything so it would be ready for when I wanted to ask you."
"I picked it out." Hannah speaks up and beams at Morgan and Lee puts his free hand down on the top of her head to ruffle her hair.
"Did she do a good job?"
"The best."
She leans down to kiss Hannah on the forehead and then she kisses Lee on the lips.
He puts the ring on her, he has to put the grocery bag down by his feet to do it and they kiss again, until Hannah pulls on both of their hands because she's bored again and she wants to move onto the next thing.

The ring feels natural on her hand, just like calling him her fiance does and picturing the rest of her life with him. She likes the weight of it on her hand. How it doesn't actually weigh her down it just reminds her of him always. When she looks down at it or when the light hits it and reflects up to her or when she puts her hand down on the table or wraps it around a glass and she hears the soft clink of the metal against the surface.
They start planning the wedding and they're thinking summer because it's totally different from what they did before and Hannah will be four by then and it's enough time to plan it and it works out for the best.
It's relatively stress free, she finds a dress and he picks a place. He wants an outdoor wedding and she kind of freaks out because what if it rains or it's windy but she lets it go and figures it'll all be okay because no matter what happens with the weather that day it'll end with her being married to him.

She never thinks of Tyler or the past pain that he brought until he makes her think of him.

It's the middle of the night and they're sleeping when a knock on the front door wakes them up and Morgan kicks him under the covers and he groans and moves away from her because he doesn't want to leave the bed.
"Go get the door." She mumbles to him.
"You do it. It's your house."
She laughs. "It is not, you live here too."
"But you've lived here longer, they'll want to see you."
"What if it's someone who wants to break in?"
"Then why would they knock?" He turns his head up to her to wait for a response.
"I just don't want to get up."
"Fine." He sighs and gets up. "But the next time someone knocks at 2 in the morning you get it."
"Fine. I love you." She says into the pillow as he walks out of the room.
He gets to the door without turning on the lights and only stubs his toe once on the way. He opens the door and when he sees Tyler standing against the wall in the hallway he immediately wakes all the way up and forgets the pain in his toe. He's speechless.
"Oh, the fuck." Tyler speaks and Lee can smell the alcohol on his breath. "You would be here man. Dammit." He tries to get in the apartment but Lee puts his arm out to stop him. "What Lee?"
"You need to go." He's surprisingly calm, mostly because he knows that if he raises his voice Morgan would wake up or even worse, Hannah would.
"C'mon, you can steal my wife but you can't steal my daughter."
"She's not your wife."
"My ex-wife. Whatever." He takes a drunken step and Lee stops him again. "Hannah is still my daughter."
"No she's not." It's Morgan's voice and Lee drops his hand away from the wall when he turns to look at her and Tyler stumbles in.
"Yeah, she is Morgan. I think I remember it happening."
"She doesn't remember you."
"I'm her father."
"You haven't been. You haven't been here."
"Baby,"
"Don't call me baby."
He rolls his eyes. "Honey."
"No."
"Fine, whatever, I bet you let Lee call you whatever he wants to call you."
"I love him, hes been here."
"Just because your boyfriend sticks around for a few months..."
"We're getting married."
Tyler laughs. "You trying again? I figure if you can't get it right the first time why even bother with it again. That's why i'm single."
"I doubt that's why."
"What's that mean?"
"No one wants you. You abandoned me and a baby."
"My baby."
"No. You're not going to see her. Lee's been more of a father to her than you've ever been."
"Is she calling you daddy now Lee?" He asks him and Lee still stays silent, wanting them to work it out on their own.
"She is." Morgan answers for Lee and she puts her hand on her hip. "You need to leave."
"Not until I see her."
"You're not going to." Lee tells him, finally stepping in because he's not listening to Morgan. "If I have to make you leave I will."
"I've always wanted to fight you."
"I'm not going to fight you."
"Why not?" He sounds disappointed.
"Because i'm not 16 and Hannah's sleeping, i'm not going to wake her up."
"So responsible. Boring. What happened to the reckless guy I knew?"
"He grew up when he got responsibilities. You ran away from them."
"You really want to hit me right now don't you?"
"Oh God yeah."
"I kind of want you to get your chance."
"I'd really rather never see you again."
"What happened to us Lee? We used to be close? You let a girl get between us?"
"She." He stops and looks over Tyler's shoulder at her to check on her. She's looking at him like she's telling him to just say it now because he won't get another point. Once Tyler leaves now, which she knows he will, he won't come back. This is just a one time, drunken thing. "If it wasn't for her then we'd probably still be friends. But I probably wouldn't know how you really are. Even if you were a better guy....I don't know."
"If I was a better guy, would you have taken her?"
"Stop saying that he took me. I left you."
"Yeah, obviously Morgan."
Morgan shakes her head and Tyler goes back to Lee.
"I don't know. I would still love her."
"You're a really shitty friend." He tells Lee and Lee can't help but to agree a little bit. "I just wanted to see her." He says and Lee's not sure if he means Morgan or Hannah but it doesn't really matter.
"You.." He stops. Can't seems like such a harsh word but it's the only thing he can think to say. "You can't."
"I know." He says sadly and looks up at Lee. "You taking care of them?"
"Yeah. I think so."
They both turn back to Morgan who has her hands folded over her chest.
"He is."
Tyler shakes his head and walks out the still open door, out into the hallway and then turns back to Lee.
"I want to hate you, but fuck, I don't think that I can. I won't come back. If that's what you really want."
"IT's what I want." Morgan tells him and Tyler nods and rubs his hand across his face tiredly and then walks down the hallway out of sight and Lee closes the door.
"Are you alright?" He asks her and she nods.
"I'm fine. You okay?"
"Yeah, but nothing really happened to me."
"You're right. That wasn't your ex that drunkenly stumbled in here in the middle of the night." She steps into his arms and sighs into his chest.
"That was exciting." Lee says and Morgan laughs and turns her cheek into his shirt.
"It's always something stupid."
"Yeah." He breathes out and kisses the top of her head and she takes his hand and they check on Hannah, who's still sleeping, and then go back to bed.

They're married in June and it's not raining or windy and it's not even that hot. It's comfortable and relaxed and Hannah looks adorable in her flower girl dress and Morgan and Lee watch her dance at the reception with one of Morgan's friends sons.
Morgan has her head on his shoulder and they both have smiles on their faces.
They go back to the apartment when it's all over and they let Hannah stay up late/
She's so excited about everything that happened because it's the first big party she has ever been to and the three of them stay up and watch a movie and eat popcorn while sitting on the floor, Hannah still in her dress, Lee still in his tux with his jacket off and Morgan's still in her dress and veil and just when Hannah's about to fall asleep Morgan brings her back and puts on her pajamas and tucks her in and Lee comes into read her a story because she still won't sleep without that but by the second page she's asleep and Morgan's starting to fall asleep in the rocking chair that she's sitting in and Lee closes the book and leaves the room to pick up the empty popcorn bowls they left in the living room and when she comes back out he's putting the bowls into the dishwasher.
His hair is messy and the first few buttons on his shirt are undone and he looks tragically cute.
"You're pretty." She tells his sleepily and he faces her with an eye roll and she puts her arms out and he walks into them and puts his hand on her back and pulls her closer to him and he kisses her shoulder.
"You're beautiful." He tells her and she laughs as his breath hits her neck and she tightens her arms around him.
"You don't know what you've down for me." She tells him in a whisper.
"It can't be anything like what you've done for me." He says back to her and she smiles and kisses him and his hands move down the front of her dress, sliding over the fabric to her hips as she rests her forehead in against his.
"No." She tells him softly. "You're..."
"I don't want to fight about this." He interrupts her gently and she smiles against his lips as he kisses her and it falls away when she kisses him back and pulls him back to their room, her fingers working on the rest of the buttons on his shirt.
