Book Rec

So, I think I've managed to read all of two books since August. Of late, this is normal (or, actually, better than normal), though up to four years ago, I could read ten books in a week and not find it unusual (depending on the books, of course.)

Now, the fact I've managed to actually start and finish two books in less than half a year amazes me. But whatever.

If you like zombies (and Rae does like zombies), and you're curious, the book was by Max Brooks, and was called World War Z. The same author also wrote The Zombie Survival Guide which I have yet to read, but have heard is just as good.

WWZ is written as first-hand anecdotes, obtained by 'interviews' with survivors of the Zombie Apocalypse. In discussion earlier today, I compared it to The Things They Carried insofar as the spread and interconnectedness of the "characters" and the ease of read. Given that one is based on ZOMBIES and the other on actual events, I'll let you draw your own conclusions as to the completeness or rightness of the comparison.
