Like sands through the hour glass...
My life is so like a soap opera. I live on an isolated island in the Caribbean. There are tons of gorgeous, hunky, shirtless men all over the place. Lots of jewelry. Everyone has tons of money, even if they don't really have a high paying job. I live at a hotel, and so do a lot of other people. (People either live in a mansion or at a hotel on the soaps. At least on GH and OLTL.) And, there are a small number of regulars, who sometimes may disappear, but return after a few years. And, there are a lot of transient people (tourists) who are like the extras. They may have a line or two, but are never around for more than a few episodes. Oh, and I get the feeling that everyone has dated everyone else at some point. And, there are only a few bars, and everyone goes to them. Also, everyone is attractive. No ugly people. How soap-esque.
But not only do I live in a soap opera - ish area, my actual life is a soap opera too. I know! It's my dream come true! I am never leaving this place. I kinda have a little crush. And I haven't liked anyone in the LONGEST time. But, he's so not my type, but is. I don't know. I normally go for tall skinny boys (which is bad because then I just end up feeling fat) but he is shorter and pretty buff. Similar build to my first ever BF who is so hot if I don't say so myself. Let's see. Also, he is not conservative, he smokes, he doesn't drink. I drink, I don't smoke, I am conservative. But, I still really like him. So, how is he my type? He's a little arrogant and a little nerdy. Totally my type. And, he made a Jedi comment. Hello! I am a total Star Wars geek!!! So, where is it going? Who knows? But, it is fun to have someone to flirt with. Oh, and did I mention that he's pretty darn cute. (I really hope he doesn't ever read this because I will be embarassed, but oh well. It's not like he doesn't know that I like him.) Anyways, in a true soap opera fashion, there are all these dramatic moments between us, but nothing has happened. (It's like Adriana and Rex!) He better ask me on a real date soon. Or else, I may be lured into the arms of the evil Stephhan. (yes, the 2 "h"s are on purpose. Soap opera characaters have funny names.)
Okay, I need to return some movies.
