Productive Sunday
We got a surprising amount done on Sunday. In addition to making significant inroads on my (woefully behind) "weekly" chore list, we also went out and ran errands: we picked up Julien's new suit, bought ourselves new swim gear for the pool, bought Thank You cards for the wedding, and stopped by Home Depot. We bought hooks and mounted the watercolor the Colorado Moravans gave us as a wedding gift, and bought a bunch of gardening stuff.
When we got home we re-potted the bulbs Julien had gotten me a week or two ago, and put the rosemary in a bigger pot. I also tossed out the carnivorous plant and put in a new African violet -- I really must remember to bring it to work. We also put in some miniature daffodils that I couldn't resist at Home Depot. We also bought two new boxes (slightly smaller than the one we have so as to be more easily moved), and plenty of new soil to fill them. On a future weekend we hope to head back to the organic nursery for some more comestibles -- Julien cleaned up the mint and the cilantro and filled the rest of the space with an artichoke and garlic.
After all that we were pretty tired, and decided to try Le Provencal for a pick-me-up. We ended up taking an early dinner -- my shrimp and tomato dish with saffron rice was just what I wanted, and Julien rated his quiche "good". I very much enjoyed the coconut dessert with rum-infused mousse that I picked out.
When we got home, Julien fell asleep almost immediately, which was pretty funny because it was only 7:30 pm. Must've over-worked the poor guy!
