Fun Sunday
Today Julien and I hit the slopes for the second time this season. It was a perfect day for it -- gorgeous sunshine and warm, though the base of the mountain was ringed with clouds. We decided to just do the 12-4 shift this time and save a few bucks. Ironically, the conditions were so much better that we probably would've stayed a bit longer if we'd had a chance, but I guess it's always better to quit while you're ahead, anyway. In a fun twist, we saw a bunch of people from work -- Steve and his family, Seb and his daughters, and another colleague of Julien's.
Afterward, we tried Pok-Pok, a highly recommended Thai restaurant by many sources. It was a lot of fun to try it out -- the offer Northern Thai cuisine that's totally unlike any Thai food I've ever tried before. The one Northern dish that we tried, tender pork belly in a spicy (spices, not chili-hot) sauce, was fantastic. We also both loved the Thai ice cream sandwich we shared for dessert.
All in all, a good Sunday.
