Lilach and Leeor

Sep 21, 2008 16:24

This has been the week of Lilach and Leeor! Wednesday was their wedding, which turned out beautifully. The outdoor setting on the sea was gorgeous, especially as we got to enjoy the sunset, and the appetizers especially were delicious. I danced so hard, I unhemmed my skirt. All in all, a very satisfactory experience, and all the more meaningful given how close I feel to them. I even cried during the ceremony :)

Friday they invited us to go rafting with Lilach's cousin Jeff and his girlfriend Stacy, in town for the wedding from the U.S. We went to Ma'ayin Baruch, in the Golan, and had quite a good time dunking and splashing each other and enjoying the gorgeous scenery. After, Stacy treated us all to a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Saturday we had Lilach and Leeor over for a crepes dinner, since we'll all be leaving on our respective trips at the end of the week. Julien and I bought Cava (Spanish Champagne) at the corner store, and we made mimosas as an accompaniment.

This will probably be my last post for a while -- we return from Ethiopia on 14 October, and we'll see what I have to say then!
