Rocky Mountain High

After a two day drive that took four days and a week without internet, I'm finally back on the radar. Here I am in Colorado, and I have air conditioning again. Oh blessed technology. I also have a sweet cable package which I plan to watch all the freaking time. BBC America on demand, baby! Time for a Flying Circus-a-thon.

Colorado is great so far. I have all the conveniences of a modern American (Target, Best Buy, Old Navy, a 3-story REI), as well as everything a mild hippie and outdoorsy person needs (Rocky Mountain National Park, running trails, Whole Foods, indie movie theatres). I miss the ocean, but I'll post a picture of the views I get of the mountains every day when I can. We went up into the mountains the other day, and I saw my first elk. A whole herd, in fact. I also saw alpine tundra for the first time. Couldn't find a marmot, thought. Only a matter of time - we got an annual pass. I can't wait for the first snow. :)

Both Garrett and I have been ridiculously exhausted at the end of every day because of the altitude. Come on, bone marrow. Mama needs a new set of blood cells. I ran for 40 minutes the other day, and even my arms were tired. I'm gonna be a stud after a couple months. I'll come home and race my dad, who has always been faster than me. I'll be like a kangaroo.  Speaking of Dad, he bought Garrett and I a sweet gas grill as a house warming present. They are so easy and quick to light up, and we've been eating delicious steak all the time. I'm getting pretty good on that thing.

That's all for now. I have a lots of cleaning still do to, and the job hunting crap of course. Hope everyone is doing well.
