Good news everyone!
So after months of K-Mart waffling RJ is finally starting his management training on Monday, and he's been making manager money since this Sunday! This is exciting because we do want to move out one of these days. ^^;
While we are on that topic, I have an interview on Tuesday for a sweet state government job. It's as an office assistant (technically listed as Office Assistant III which makes me think it's actually the sequel to the first two office assistants), but I really think that'll be fine for me. It's a lot more money than I'm making now, and also *ding* sweet gov'y benefits! Hurrah for possible health, dental, and vision coverage!
Now all I have to do is get the job. Easier said than done right?

I've really been diggin'
The Police lately. I always new I kinda liked them, but I never really listened to a lot of their stuff before. But now, thanks to
Rock Band I've become quite a fan.
RJ knowing about my newfound fandom, and being the sweety he is, randomly bought me the Every Breath You Take greatest hits cd. :D I've been enjoying it quite a bit, and my new favorite is probably 'Don't Stand so Close to Me', though I of course love 'Can't Stand Losing You' but I heard that on Rock Band first. :P
I recently bought myself Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman, which is a collection of short stories, and I also listened to the audiobook version of Neverwhere also by Neil Gaiman. I think he's really my favorite author right now, and I've never read any Sandman comics...will that get me strung up by enthusiasts? I hope not I really love him as a novelist.
Neverwhere was wonderful, a great modern fantasy story, and listening to the audiobook was awesome because it was read by Mr. Gaiman himself. I really enjoyed that he did voices for each character it gives a glimpse further into the character he envisioned.
Smoke and Mirrors was an interesting look into Gaiman's development as a writer, and while I didn't like all the stories I really liked others. It also gives another side of his writing that I've not been as exposed to in his novels I've read. I really want to buy Fragile Things now. And not just for the American Gods sequel. :P
