America the Eclectic

Over at the Citizen's Briefing Book (whose apostrophe should probably be moved to the right, while I'm waxing pedantic), anyone with internet access can submit a proposal to the Obama administration or vote on others' proposals.

Here's mine. You should all go vote for it because it's awesome.

There are some cool ideas and some loony ideas and some dumb ideas and some surreal ideas and some pretentious bullshit ideas and some really damn funny ideas. It's worth poking around for the full spectrum; in the meantime, here are a few of the more colorful suggestions:

Support a dozenal numerical system!
The fact that there's apparently a movement behind this sort of boggles my mind. For lack of better explanations, I am assuming that its members are all polydactyl.

Push awareness of electronic cigarettes
OUR NATION IS DEPENDING ON YOU!

Combine all religions
This says "second grade homework assignment" to me. I love that people are responding to and refuting it so seriously, like Obama's gonna be like, "Damn, that's a good plan! I'll get right on it!" otherwise.

It's ILLEGAL to have a cure in the USA! Constitutional Health Care!
Also, tin foil hats!

Psychic Warfare and ESP Remote Viewing
...are not gonna be effective weapon in the war on terror. I may not have an extensive government research budget, but I am fairly confident that I'm right about this.

Ban Mind Control/Directed Energy Weapons abuse and torture.
Also, vampires.

Trinity
Words can't do this one justice. Just read it.

Petition for the creation of the Dept of Silly Walks
Self-explanatory. I'm in favor of the principle, although I think the suggested details leave something to be desired.
