I really love my adopted city. There's always something lurking in the shadows, waiting to leap out and take the edge off my sharply honed misanthropy. Portland has a lot of problems, but it's also got a lot of heart, and a lot of people who get the difference between caring and acting, and there's a lot of genuinely intentional community.
