Bloody Mary Brunch
I am in such a good mood today. I woke-up bright and early, because of the new "Bloody Mary Brunch" at work today. We set up a buffet with dozens of hot sauces and pickeled items, and you can build your own. For the food, the highlights are a mushroom and shallot frittata as well as vegetarian bisquits and gravy. It took me a few recipes, but I think I have perfected my roux and bisquits. Come one, come all to the Royale, Saturdays from 11 to 4pm. Will Freeman DJs and the peoples are good.
Today I took an hour break and went furniture shopping. I bought a vintage chrome table with a glass top, and four matching chrome and lucite folding chairs. I bargained down the owner of the shop by almost $100!
He offered a matching chrome bar cart for $80, which would give me a counter space in my kitchen. I haven't decided if I'll get it or not.
I talked to Nora last night. She told me her parents and sister have moved to Nicaragua?!
