I am in love!
i am so hard core falling in love with Julep! he is wonderful and snuggly and beautiful and amazing!
i have only had him like 48hours now, and he seems pretty comfortable with me and the new home. he still lives in my bedroom only, because i have been told that he should live in a smaller space for a little while so he can feel safe and comfortable first. he still has a huge house to explore and a cat to negotiate with.
for two nights now he has kept me up and made it hard to rest. in some ways its like sleeping with a new lover...like when you keep sorta waking up easily, and trying to negotiate snuggling positions...he comes up and nudges my hands and purrs until i scratch his ears. last night he slept on my belly while i slept on my back. for part of the night he was snuggled on his own pillow next to my pillow. but then there are the parts of the night that he is knocking everything off my dresser and nightstand and batting in around on the floor. the highlight last night was when he knocked over my glass of water! well, i had been warned that he loves to know things over, especially beverages! well, once we are all better adjusted, i will keep my bedroom door open at night so he can alternate snuggling with me and adventuring around the house.
so for those of you cat folks out there, what are your prefered food and cat litters! his family has always used crappy safeway crap. i want to use better quality, safer litter, and more nutritious food. what have you found that you like and works well?
