i had such a good, relaxing and creatively exciting weekend!
saturday night i went to see chicks on speed
who totally rocked! they even pulled me up on stage to dance with them during the song about fashion! does that mean i have good or bad fashion?
and i got introduced to two crazy weird performers that i was impressed by. one was kevin blechdom. can't really describe her myself, but look her up. the other was planningtorock. whoa!
those are photos fro the video portions of her performance. bizarre and strange, and gutteral. i loved it!
then on sunday i got to spend much of the day with my friend mel. she showed me her opaque projector and we talked about a sequential painting project she wants to do that she was inspired by the dag transformation photos i just posted. so we had these great talks about drag and why, performance and why. and that night we went to see the coolest, best movie that i have seen in a long time Kmikaze Girls! if you live in portland, go see it at the clinton street theater! for serious!
