Oh, Live Journal. I didn't mean for you to be the last to know.
The long-short of it is, that this LJ is local news famous. Local news famous in Austin. I was attending a panel on preventing suicide online at SXSW this Monday, and during the open discussion segment, I mentioned Bi-Poseur, and how great work everyone on the panel was doing. I then was interviewed by the local NBC affiliated in Austin about my experiences with suicide and about my show.
The piece ran on-air in Austin, and was posted online. Aside from the producer spelling my name wrong P-A-U-L-O, the piece talked about the time I tried to write a suicide note online. Watch the video, this journal is in it! And it does that whole, 'camera-pan-across-a-computer-screen' effect, reserved for stories that involve any combination of child molestation, pornography, or internet. You can watch the video here:
I wrote more about over at
PaoloSambrano.com! The long-short of it is that, while I am sort of like ehhhhh about how I was portrayed (that's journalism!) I found the things they included about me to be kind of hilarious.
You can read the article here.
Speaking of things, I finally started a Facebook Fan Page for Bi-Poseur!
You can become a fan now! Yeah!
On another note, I refuse to use the Page Fan Suggestion thing, because I do not want to be adding to the request noise out there, and I figure if people want to be fans, they'll find there. I'd rather have a small group of fans who are fans, than a massive amount of people just mindlessly clicking yes. But that's another tangent.
