I just read a little (spec, arguments) and then step away if I feel my b.p. rising. Sometimes I'll type something out just to get it out of my head, but not post or send it, then just delete it. It actually helps me. And if I feel like engaging, I will, but speculation? Nope, I'm over needing to know all details before an ep airs...it's so much more exciting when you don't know too much (but hey, if one wants to know everything, as Gail says, "knock yerselves out").
if I have major issues with someone, I will mute/unfollow/block. I have my boundaries and I stick with them (which I've been learning, sometimes the hard way).
Fandom attracts some interesting people (not all good, not all bad). I just try to learn from people and if I feel uncomfortable, peace out! But yeah, disagreeing is okay, but degrading someone bc of that? What a waste. People need to learn how to put themselves in other people's shoes and that the world is so much better for different opinions.
And religion/politics? Those arguments will always be around as long as people are. I do a lot of smiling and nodding with certain people irl. Just stick to your beliefs and read, read, read :)
that's a good idea--typing it out and then not sending. i've been doing a lot of holding back lately. the problem is in the fact that people that DO want to know everything just leave it out in the open for everyone to see. sometimes people don't even tag spoilers. it's very inconsiderate.
i likeeee that advice at the end. knowledge is power.
I know! ppl forget--more likely do not care--that some of us just don't want to know all the details this early. That's when I mute on tweetdeck.
After S4, I need to disengage from certain things for my sanity. I'll look at the pics, but picking apart everything that will end up appearing different when we see the actual episode is a waste of my time. There's pics of Ben that need to be stared at!!! Like you said above, there's many unseen pics that will off-set 1 pic.
