ok, you all need to go check out pandora.com
you pick out musicians you like and it gives you streaming radio, with those artists and others that it thinks you would like (and it's pretty dead on, in my experience).
seriously. it's fucking awesome. just don't get banned (haha garnet).
additionally, it says things like this:
"Based on what you've told us so far, we're playing this track because it features hard rock roots, a subtle use of vocal harmony, meandering melodic phrasing, mixed acoustics and electric instrumentation, minor key tonality, and electric rhythem guitars."
