Welcome to the shortest day of the year.

Dec 21, 2016 00:00

Yup, we've hit bottom in hours of daylight that is. We can collectively say it's all up from here.

So what does this mean for those who are less space savvy, and believe me they exist. ( Stars )

speed, space, time, hugs, galaxy

I for one will be totally looking forward to the longer daylight with its earlier sunrises and later sunsets after today! And yer right, the Winter Solstice is very much about change. For me it's more like the start of a new year. HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE!!

I like the longer days too but prefer the cooler weather over the heat; wish it could be reversed.

Heh, wouldn't that be some kind of paradise? Really super long days, like they have in Alaska around the Summer Solstice, but with Spring like temperatures?

Indeed it would.

Your post made me immediately think of this:

And Blessed Solstice to you as well. How nice of the Christians to co-opt such a meaningful Pagan holiday.

Right up there with the christian faith's hate towards women.

I had completely forgotten that video. Thanks for showing.

HAPPY SOLSTICE! to you and yours.

You could put it that way.... that it all goes up from here. :)

I may be a Christian but I still wish you a Happy Solstice. :)

No hate against Christians here, but I always have issues with a group that demeans others.

Happy Solstice to you too.
