So I played around with the plot a little (I've cooked up a Mathematica 4-compatible version of the notebook if anyone's interested), here's the plot in context of a hundred vertical cells:
There's a ton of neat stuff to explore here -- here's what happens if you turn the first 17 in the exponent to a 16 -- check out the neat diagonalization that happens, you can still sorta read it if you tilt your head... :)
