Boy am I sore.

My instructor/master in martial arts decided that today I should start training in the art of weapons. Now I told him that I am already good with a sword, but he wants me to be good at many of the different weapons in the arts.

So today I practiced with rubber Nunchakus and Tonfas. I never knew that they could be so tough. I mean the Tonfas aren't that bad, but there are some great moves you can do with them. It's the Nunchakus that I really messed myself up on.

I sat and watched as my master showed me how to work with them. His speed is incredible. He moves with them so quickly that he seems to be a blur. Then he handed me a set of rubber ones, and told me to try.

My first try I hit myself in the head. Ouch. But I am not on to make the same mistake twice. So the next time I hit myself in the small of the back. I shouldn't try and show off I guess.

By the time our lesson was over, I got better with them, but I hit myself so many times that I am a little soar. I can imagine that with a real pair, someone with skill could really mess somebody up. I just need practice. And trust me I will. I want to make my instructor proud of me.

But I think tonight when the little ones are down, I am going to take a nice long soak and relax. Yep that's just what the doctor ordered.
