random stuff
Chris and I had a super fun time at the hockey game last night! and we won!!!
but today i'm feeling very tired. a little bored. and cold.
i have a lot of things to do. i tend to get overwhelmed and a little frustrated when things are unorganized and they are. lots of open work stuff and my house is a little messy. Chris hasn't been home in awhile and i've been too busy to go through and actually finish putting things away and cleaning up. I'm sure it's not messy by a regular person's standards - but i can't stand not having things put away! it's making me twitchy.
i don't feel like doing any of it.
but i must. maybe when Sidney takes a nap, i will spend an hour getting all the house stuff done. it will probably make for a better rest-of-the-workday.
i'm looking forward to the weekend. We are going to the Disney Road Show tomorrow night and i have my last race of the season on Sunday.
It's the last of a series of four races (all half marathons) put on by the same group... and they are giving extra age-group awards for people who have completed three out of four (if you did all four, you drop your slowest time). I am currently number one in women age 30-34... so as long as i don't blow this race - i should get it!
i would LOVE to actually win my age group at this race but i'm not sure who else is racing. One of my goals this year is to win my age group...but the rest of the races i have planned for the year are so huge, it's unlikely (impossible?) for it to happen at any of them. this may be my best shot. i'll try! hopefully my aching quad won't slow me down.
Sidney is the tiniest bit cranky today. he didn't take a very good nap yesterday so hopefully he will take a better one today and be well rested for the weekend. If we miss the nap-window on the weekends (which we often do if we're out), he doesn't take a nap at all and then he'll fall asleep in the car on the way to whereever we go in the evening. it's not really fun - for him or for us.
he is so sweet - i can't even stand it. i love this kid.
