In any case, yesterday I finished the JDrama "Unfair," featuring the ever-adorable Eita in a great psychological thriller about a female cop (not Eita) who is trying to solve a series of serial killings.

Positives: Great twists. I'd call them one way, but they'd go another way. I love it when a psych thriller keeps you guessing. There's nothing worse than a predictable psychological thriller. Also, they figured out the right balance in the tear-jerking department: kill off a character that the audience loves enough to cry. Don't kill off freaking everybody (I'm looking at you, Maou).

Negatives: The leading lady was kind of... how to say... loose. Of course, this shouldn't faze you if you're used to watching American TV. Also, while they did a good job establishing that divorce is extremely hard on kids, they didn't do a good job showing how damaging other traumas can be. Won't go into those traumas, because they're pretty much all spoilers. Also, the final twist at the end, while good and unexpected, was a bit far-fetched and hard to believe. I think the final twist should bring things together in an "Aha!" moment, not an "Awhaa...?" moment.

Overall rating: 7.5 adorable crazy-haired Eitas out of 10.

Note: I didn't watch the end-of-the-series special. There were some questions left unanswered in the show itself that I assume the special deals with. So I didn't allow the unanswered questions to affect my rating.

Finished Dramas:
Hana Kimi (8.8 out of 10)
Hana Yori Dango (Season 1: 8 out of 10. Season 2: 6 out of 10)
Majo Saiban (still my #1 recommendation! 9 out of 10)
Maou (7.5 out of 10)
Tokyo Dogs (6.5 out of 10)
Unfair (7.5 out of 10)
