The Madcap Collegiate Misadventures of Radish, Fashion Design Major (part 2, of many)
--a brief, illustrated account.
Not pictured: the messenger bag in which I keep my wallet, my sanity, a couple of notebooks, two PASMO cards, the yen I didn't find to stuff into my FIDM tote, a GPS, a towel, miscellaneous change, a few sticks of gum, two maps of the Tokyo subway system, a plastic file folder with a picture of seme-Tsuna in sparkly detail on one side and seme-Tuna and famiglia in sparkly detail on the other side full of paper and sketches (and one fanart of pirate!England licking his pistol), a planner, and run-on sentences. And hopes and dreams. And some cotton stuffing.
In other news industrial sewing machines scare me but now that I've learned to thread an industrial sewing machine I figure a home sewing machine with an external bobbin shouldn't be so terribly hard to manage. Also, I fail at controlling industrial sewing machines but that's what lab hours are for. :V And a home sewing machine should be nothing after the slow-start-RAPID-ACCELERATION of the industrial machines. Not that I can consistently sew a straight line on those but I came pretty close a few times. DX
Also drawing 25 croquis are the most boring thing in the world but I have to do it so I'll finish my color swatches for Color and Design Theory and then immediately reassign the art desk to croquis production. At least in the last five I can change it up a bit. Add some clothes, maybe a hat, turn one into a chandelier, cover one in vines, maybe give the last one a pattern of staples and a stapler a la Bakemonogatari. Hopefully I'll get faster at making croquis and stop being so bleeding perfectionist so it stops being such a monumental pain in the posterior.
Radish tip of the day: When carrying a toolbox, a messenger bag, a large roll of fabric, and a tote bag full of all the rest of your supplies and there are gates to open and doors to unlock, do not attempt to make a phone call. It could end quite disastrously.
