Heh. Didn't need a test to tell you this. These guys got me through school and I'd still cook 'em dinner if they showed up on my doorstep.
A little confused by the rest of it, Gang of Four and Teardrop Explodes would be much higher up on the list than the Slits (oops I guess if you have feminist leanings you are "like" the slits) - heh. Oh, yeah, maybe I'm not psychedelic or marxist enough, yes I remember, what band am I, not what band do I like. Where is Killing Joke?
As for the quote below - I'm sure it's not based on my assertions many years ago on The Well since some priggy little snot rode ass all over me claiming that some guy in dusseldorf with a tin can and a wooden dildo started industrial music long before any of us were born but - I don't dwell on past ego crushings no I don't. Was that you? Well, I was right and you're a huge dweebus. There you go. 15 years of flame wars will grow you a vertabrae. Also, I wouldn't recommend this album so much. Mix UP and Voice of America for me thanks. Ok it looks like that release actually has some of the good stuff from the two albums I cited.
You scored as Cabaret Voltaire. Sheffield-based band Cabaret Voltaire were formed slightly before punk but are often said to be godfathers of electronica and industrial music. Their music is a innovative combination of synthesisers, tape samples and electronic beats, best heard on 'The Original Sound of Sheffield 1978-82'.
