Okay, for those of who you cannot
Well, moved my dad into his new nursing center today. He was there less than 12 hours, and he fell out of bed. No injuries, this time.
Last week I treated myself - I was drivven to distradtion for the past year with Daddy-sitting and excess responsibilites, and the stress of my own health and financial problems. I got a little pot of money when dad's VA check came through, so I bought myself an iPod Nano ... new genreation. Little blue one that plays video and is cooler than I could have imagined (and I imagine pretty good).
I also bought a stool. A wooden stool. For my kitchen and to take when I speak - the last few times at a podium I damn near fell over because my leg cannot stay in the same positon standing or sitting for 45 minutes. Not any more. So I hope to avoid embarassing or damaging myself by falling down as I leave a talk by taking my stool with me.
I know nothing about some other stool you may have been thinking of.
So ... not a bad day for me, almost a good day for my dad (except for the falling out of bed thing) and I may be able a few things fixed in my house - like get a working washing machine. ">, here is a very cool video that does not involve pain or disaster.
move along to the video. No need for you to lose your lunch.
