Hey I posted

So I had a chat with my dad earlier this week about dangerous drivers, and the major differences between the Southeast and the Northwest.

In the SE, it's common for drivers to weave in and out of traffic, all while talking on their cell phones. The average speed on I-95, I-85, I-75, I-10, I-20 or any other major limited access highway in the south is roughly 85. I've been passed by cops on boulevards doing 20 over. It was insane.

All this being said, I found the biggest problem makers on the highways were the ones going far too slow. Right lane or not, consider the virtual roadblock you become if you choose to do 40 on an interstate.

As far as Washington is concerned, I've noticed several interesting things about drivers here since my recent move back.

For one, nobody seems to understand the purpose of the left lane. Daily I find myself behind somebody in the passing lane doing the same speed as the other lanes, effectively turning the interstate into a 2 lane road. I've done my share of passing-on-the-right, which I understand is a big no-no, but I have no problems blowing past some mom in her Ford Windstar doing 60 on I-5.

Also, that whole “dangerous is going too slow” thing I said up there, count that true for pretty much every driver on the road up here.

It always seems to be the idiots that leave their “Kerry - Edwards” stickers on that get in the fast lane and crawl

I’ve even been a victim of “the look” by some dreadlocked hippy she-beast because I had the nerve to ride her ass while she went 5 under in the fast lane.

Heard an advertisement on the radio today for the new CBS “super band” reality show. As interesting as that may be, one name pretty much ruined the whole gig for me.

Dave Navarro

I’m sure the guy is a good guitar player in his own right, but what has he EVER done musically to warrant the amount of media attention he gets? I can’t name a Dave Navarro song, I can’t name a song in which he played, and I don’t really care to. RHCP did one lackluster album with the guy, and Jane’s Addiction was as over-rated as any band of recent memory.

I suppose you could say the same about Scott Ian (of Anthrax fame,) but the guy makes a great commentator for those “I love the xx’s” shows. He can stay.

So my car is in the shop, and while it’s being worked on I’m driving around a new Dodge Charger. Talk about fun, it’s kinda like driving an old car. The hood is big and square-ish, the interior has old designs in it, I love it.

I think I want some cats when I get moved into my own house. Any ideas for names?

Ok that’s all, I’ll throw more in here later.
