More Recording Stuff
Last night, we tracked bass for all but 2 of the songs for the album. We ran a mic on the cabinet and a direct line from the bass head. It sounded really warm without any EQ or compression. We also tracked all of Brian's guitar parts for the same songs. What does this mean? It means I have a lot of work to do -- I've only tracked my parts for two songs so far. Hey, I was running the desk for the other guys while they did their parts, I was still contributing!
I guess we're going to be playing in-studio on 100.5 The Zone sometime this month. I never really thought of myself as a Zone artist, so I hope it doesn't come to that. We're trying to have a couple songs mixed and ready to give them to play around the same time to hype things up. There is also some talk of a Crest show or a Harlow's show put on by them in the near future. That'd be cool, if the Zone can bring in a good national act to play with us.
