so around the fourth of july, we parttook in our anual SEVEN HOUR DIVE TO SYRACUSE. YESSSSSS
we saw many of the familair pennsylvania landmarks on the way including the infamous spinning barbell man & the mini statue of liberty in the river outside harrisburg as well as
GIANT AMISH PEOPLE %#@!
granny totally got a make over from the last time we saw her. she's looking pretty sharp, i think
once we arrived at grandma's house, we engaged in a multitude of facinating activities with the cousins such as jamming on banjos, baby accordions, & organs & throwing darts (magnetic!) at each other as well as
hanging on basketball hoops
OH MAN LOOK AT THEM SKILLZ
& eating waffles that we can't make right
mountain o' waffle:
the lady that worked the breakfast bar insisted on helping mab with the waffle maker after this masterpiece
while the rest of our family abandoned us for the day, we decided to embark on an epic walk through north syracuse. first stop was the creepy park. which was pretty much deserted except for the few remaining shoes of children scattered around the playground
where did the children go? do we WANT to know??
next we took artsy pictures of old tractors but! im too embarassed to show those. there was a giant barn across the highway where they sold ugly christmas decorations & old wooden wagens & other awesome things
mab really enjoyed it
...perhaps *too* much
i dont know what to say about this, really. it speaks for itself, i guess
wandering down the highway we saw how fortunate people with the name pat are:
we tried to get our mum to go get some free flowers later but! she didn't believe us
there were also interesting flyers on the telephone wires
hmm, i wonder why *this* dog ran away...
we also found the fairytale house:
so magical
as well as many other treasures on the side of the road, including a coaster from an irish pub, shiney metal things, a sign about some fundraizer, & a car air freshner which i made mab tie on her ankle cos her feet smelled
im not sure if it worked
but! all in all it was a pretty successful trip
