how to talk around a giant nuclear reactor
ohkay, kids. recap:
- in washington dc, we saw exhibits on postcards & banjos& ufos
- we played badmitton at dusk & sneaked into the neighbors lawn to jump on the tramboline
- many drives down haunted honeysuckle road. i think the goats recognize us.
- french fries dipped in milkshakes
- i played the toy accordion to stop my cousin from crying as mab ruined hanukkah.
- chai down by the docks at the coffee shop. all the workers there look like characters from fast times at ridgemount high.
- visiting the sandwich shop & the used cd store were stephen works. we played banjos& flutes& fruit maracas at the acoustic store.
we spent new years at bryan& rachel's apartment above a souvenier shop downtown. we watched my so called life & wandered outside through cluttered brick streets. me& mab& madi watched student films on a giant screen by the market house. throughout the night, we made our way by the drunkards with noise makers as we tried to escape the mimes on stilts. we wished happy new years to some lonely looking bearded man who was playing bluegrass& kids with flashing teeth laughed at us (i guess they thought they were at a rave). we watched the fireworks from bryan& rachel's roof & ran through the dark alleyway so we could march with the bagpipe players.
& i really forgot how rediculous tv was:
- the spanish channel seems to love sound effects, bright colors & funny wigs.
-the tony danza show had guest al roker making cake& elmo talking about higene (tony seemed really confused about the concept of showers.)
-on legends of the hidden temple, the first group to lose the challenge didnt go home empty handed now! they were given: cans of tuna! & the next group to get kicked off recieved sky dancers... & they were both boys. & the collective figured out that one of the spotters looked like the crocodile hunter.
now im gonna watch some eighties canadian soap operas. good times.
