Bedtime Thoughts
I'm laying in bed and starting to doze off and I decided to do a quick update.
I spent most of the night (as I have the last 5) talking to Brett on Skype. How could you not love that adorable face? lol. We laugh, we flirt, we stare at each other (anyone who has been in a relationship knows how interesting that can actually be), we play games and basically just keep each other comfortable. This is important because Brett is in Monument, CO and I am in Lake Mary, FL. That is 1,846 miles or 28 driving hours for those of you playing the home game. We have a game plan for the future if we both feel secure and confident in the relationship but for now its just a matter of keeping each other as entertained and engaged as possible. Surprisingly, it seems to be working quite well.
It's rather ironic that I have started talking to Brett again because today I got a phone call about a radio job in Colorado. I would have taken the job in a heartbeat, but right now its just not possible. The job doesn't pay much, and there is NO relocation money. I cannot afford to move across the country on my own. I asked them to keep their eyes peeled for anything that could help me move, but for now its looking impossible.
I'm going bed tonight with Brett on my mind, and wondering what the future holds for my love life and my career. I am content and safe...and given the state of our country I think that's a good start.
PS - I weigh 245pds right now...I gave up sugary stuff for Lent. Cookies, Sweet Tea, Soda, Chocolate, etc. I am joining a gym on Friday, and starting tomorrow I am going to ride my bike to work. I love 1.1 miles from work...there is no reason I shouldn't. I do however reserve the right to back out if it rains. I want to get down to 200pds by New Years. I think I can do it. Starting tomorrow...
